Rotary Club of Nagpur Ishanya Sets a New Record with “Gift of Health” Project

Nagpur: In a significant achievement, the Rotary Club of Nagpur Ishanya, under the leadership of President Sharad Taori and Medical Committee Chair Rtn. Sachin Agrawal, has successfully earned a place in the India Books of Records for their exemplary “Gift of Health” project. This project provided comprehensive medical checkups to over 15,000 students across 127 schools managed by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), marking a milestone in community healthcare initiatives.

The project was made possible through the collaboration of several esteemed hospitals in Nagpur, including New Era Mother & Child Hospital led by Dr. Anand Bhutada, Madhav Netralaya under the guidance of Dr. Deshmukh, Indian Dental Association Nagpur Chapter headed by Dr. Ketan Garg, Ayushman Hospital with Dr. B.K. Murli at the helm, Arihant Hospital overseen by Dr. Pallak Shah, IGMC represented by Dr. Sachin Agrawal, and Mahatme Netralaya. Their collective efforts ensured that the health needs of thousands of underprivileged students were met with care and professionalism.

The success of this project also reflects the hard work and dedication of the Rotary Club’s members, including Hon. Secretary Rtn. Special support and guidance were provided by Club Trainer Pritesh Chandak, and Advisors Vineet Mohunta, Brijkishor Sarda, CA Anand Kalra, IPP Naresh Baldwa, and PE Saurabh Sangani, whose contributions were instrumental in the success of the project.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the officers of NMC Nagpur, including Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari, Additional Commissioner Aanchal Goyal, Education Officer Sadhna Sayam, Vinay Bagale, and Temburne Sir, whose support was instrumental in the successful execution of this project.

Special acknowledgment is also given to some of the reputed NMC schools that participated in the project, such as Banatwala School, Narendra Nagar NMC School, and Nehru Nagar NMC School, among others. Their cooperation ensured that the health checkups were conducted smoothly and efficiently, reaching those who needed it the most.

This recognition in the India Books of Records not only celebrates the success of the “Gift of Health” project but also sets a new benchmark for community service initiatives in Nagpur.
