Kriti Sanon Attends the Adipurush Film Premiere With Her Family, But Prabhas And Saif Ali Khan Skip It

The long-awaited mythological drama Adipurush, which is based on the epic Ramayana, is finally set to hit cinemas this Friday. The protagonist Raghava or Lord Ram is played by Prabhas in this national award-winning movie directed by Om Raut. In the movie, Sita, also known as Janaki, is portrayed by Kriti Sanon.

Adipurush was initially slated for a January 2023 release, however the audience’s complaints over the spectacular effects in the first teaser led to a June 2023 release date change. The newly released teaser, however, reveals that the CGI and special effects have been much enhanced over the previous six months by director Om Raut and his crew, promising an upgraded version of the movie.

On Thursday, June 15, the makers of the movie organized a special screening event in Mumbai before the movie’s global theater premiere. The film’s actors, crew, and their families were the only people invited to the ceremony. Due to their busy schedules, the movie’s main actor Prabhas and the villain Saif Ali Khan, who plays the role of Lankesh, were unable to attend.

In a blue anarkali outfit, Kriti Sanon attended the screening and looked lovely. She added simple accessories, a straight, neat hairstyle, and natural makeup to her outfit to complete it. Her parents, Rahul and Geeta Sanon, her younger sister, Nupur Sanon, and her boyfriend, Stebin Ben, went to the screening with her. As they arrived at the event with their girls and posed for photos with the paparazzi, Kriti’s parents were beaming with pride.

According to legend, Adipurush is a translation of the Indian epic, which is focused on the triumph of virtue over evil. Lord Ram is also known as Adi Purusha in Hindu mythology.
