For instance, many people may not be aware that Ajay Singh Deol, Sunny's birth name, really means. The actor reportedly made the decision to alter his name before breaking into the business and kept with his nickname, Sunny. On October 19, 1956, he was born to Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur.
Bobby Deol, Sunny's brother, was born Vijay Singh Deol, while their father, Dharmendra, was born Dharam Singh Deol.
On the professional front, Sunny is eagerly anticipating the release of his highly awaited Anil Sharma flick Gadar 2. The movie, which is based on the events surrounding India's partition, is the follow-up to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Now, the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War will be the focus of the sequel. The viewers will see how Sunny's character Tara Singh travels to Pakistan to get his kid Charanjeet. The sequel's screenplay was written by Shaktimaan Talwar and stars Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Mir Sarwar, and other performers. Gadar 2, an Indian film, will debut on August 11. The film was made by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions.
During an interview with Pinkvilla, Sunny went into much detail regarding Gadar 2. The actor advised us to only direct a sequel with strong script. He said that we shouldn't create the sequel only for its own sake. Sunny expressed his confidence in the movie's potential for success. Everyone I encounter wants to see something, and Gadar Ek Prem Katha provides that, said Sunny.
Arvind Mathur was last portrayed by Sunny Deol in the R Balki-directed 2022 film Chup. This film, which was supported by Hope Productions, focused on the life of a serial murderer who preys on movie reviewers. Mixed to positive reviews ranged for the movie. Chup included performances by Sunny, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Pooja Bhatt, and other actors.
