After contrasting victories on Saturday, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ended the league phase in third place, while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) finished second on the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) points table.
In game 67 of the IPL 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, New Zealanders Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad both scored half-centuries to help Chennai Super Kings rout Delhi Capitals by 77 runs. After deciding to bat first in Delhi, the left-handed Conway (87) and Gaikwad (79) put up an explosive opening partnership of 141 to lead Chennai to a massive 223-3.
In the second game of the evening, Lucknow Super Giants defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by one run in match 68 of the 2023 IPL at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata thanks to a 30-ball 58 from Nicholas Pooran and two wickets each from Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Thakur.

On May 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2023 Playoffs will feature a match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings. The victor of the game will automatically qualify for the IPL championship.
Whoever takes fourth place will play the Lucknow Super Giants.
Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Rajasthan Royals all have 14 points, however RCB and MI haven't yet played their last league phase match.
On Sunday, the first game of the doubleheader will feature MI vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), while the second game will feature RCB vs. GT for the last league match of the year.
In order to win the league, RCB must defeat GT and hope MI loses to SRH in their last match. MI would have to defeat SRH while hoping GT defeats RCB. Regarding RR, they will bet on RCB and MI losing, and losing by a wide margin.
