The Telugu actor Ram Pothineni, the producers Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur, and the team behind the smash sci-fi thriller “iSmart Shankar” have reunited for the sequel, “Double iSmart,” which is set to arrive in theaters soon after its first debut almost four years ago.
The movie will be produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur jointly and will be shown in theaters on March 8, 2024, which is Maha Shivaratri. Sunday, the day before Ram's birthday (May 15), saw the announcement of the film's title and its scheduled release date.
The film, which will be produced under the Puri Connects label, is the follow-up to “iSmart Shankar.” “Double iSmart,” according to its creators, will “double the mass and double the entertainment.”
There will be Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi versions of “Double iSmart” available.
The writer of “Double iSmart,” Puri Jagannadh, whose last pan-Indian smash, “Liger,” starring Vijay Deverakonda, suffered a blow to his hitmaking reputation. The creators claim that it will be an ambitious movie supported by a sizable budget and the greatest possible technical standards.
