The Bharatiya Navvarsh Swagat Yatra (Yugabd 5128) was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and cultural pride on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa – Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, organised by the Navvarsh Swagat Samiti (Niyojit), Shri Swami Samarth Nagar, Andheri West. This year’s Yatra carried the inspiring theme of Vikrami Samvat 2047, symbolising India’s timeless civilizational legacy.

 

The event was graced by Chief Guest Sushri Gitanjali Mehanbale, who congratulated the organisers for upholding the country’s traditional New Year with such dignity and grandeur. The event also saw the presence of Snajay Nirupam , Bharti Lavekar ,Raju manwani  Leena Jain, Gurpreet Kaur Chadha, Dinesh Shukla, Abhijeet Singh, Anupam Shukla, Lalit Tripathi, Ajay Gupta, Kailash Chadra Gupta, Padam Gupta & Many More. The Samiti, led by President Shri Kishore Modhvani and coordinated by Shri Dinesh Shukla, ensured that the celebration reflected both cultural richness and community unity.

 

The Yatra commenced from Shakti Temple, beginning at the ceremonial Gudi installation located in the middle lane of Shri Swami Samarth Nagar, Andheri West. Devotees, families, and community members joined the procession in large numbers, showcasing vibrant traditional attire, music, and enthusiastic participation.

 

The festive march concluded near Mahakali Temple, opposite the Swami Samarth Math installation ground, where the community gathered for concluding rituals, cultural expressions, and heartfelt wishes for prosperity and harmony in the new year.

The organisers shared that the overwhelming turnout transformed the Yatra into a memorable and spiritually uplifting celebration of national pride, heritage, and togetherness.

 

Shri Kishore Modhvani, the President said “This Yatra stood as a symbol of our collective pride, faith, and cultural continuity. Witnessing the community come together in such large numbers to welcome the Bharatiya Navvarsh was truly heart-warming. It reaffirmed our commitment to preserving traditions that strengthen our national identity and unite us across generations”

The enthusiasm of the participants and the seamless cooperation from the community made this celebration truly memorable. We are grateful to everyone who joined hands to uphold the spirit of Gudi Padwa and Vikrami Samvat 2047 with such grandeur”
